  1. I am a 38 year old male that has been on healthy keto for nearly two years. I am also serving in the U.S. Air Force. My performance during typical weight training and HIIT sessions does not suffer while I'm on keto. Annually in September, however, I am required to complete a fitness test as part of meeting military standards. The components tested are: # of push-ups and sit-ups in one minute, a waist measurement, and a 1.5 mile run. Last year was the first fitness test I have done while following the keto diet and had my worst run time ever (13:33). My goal is to run the 1.5 mile in 12 minutes or less. For me, running at an 8 minute/mile pace quickly puts me into an anaerobic heart rate state. That being said, what would you recommend to improve performance? Should I complete the test fasted, consume a keto friendly snack, or possibly even consider some pre-test carbs? Another thing to note is that there is a waist measurement additionally and do not want to be bloated because the bigger the waist, the worse the score.

    can i use baking soda and baking powder together in making breads? Can these two have any negative impacts on my health because I have scarring Alopecia… Can these two increases inflammation in my body?

  4. I tried 2 meals a day but then when I would eat after a long wait, I would have stomach issues. I would (sorry to be gross) poop battery acid about an hour after breaking my fast. Not just once but multiple times. It is horrible. My doctor says it is bile acid malabsorption (I had my gall bladder removed over 2 decades ago). I don't see anyone addressing this. Of course my doctor thinks that I should eat small meals throughout the day. Anyone heard of this and does this mean I can never do intermittent fasting.?

    Hi Dr Berg, I have folliculitis of my scalp & it has really affected my life.

    I was placed on antibiotics for acne around age 14 & that is around the time I first noticed it.
    My dermatologist at the time continuously misdiagnosed it as scalp acne & perscribed accutane all the time.

    The accutane helps keep the scalp folliculitis at bay but i am unfortunately unable to use it any longer. I am currently 30 years old & have used accutane non stop to control scalp folliculitis.

    I can no longer use accutane, as it has dried up a gland in my eye, it encourage a type of bacteria to grow in the tear duct & the accutane causes eye styes.

    Please help me. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I dont know what to do. I don't want to spend my life on antibiotics & hoping that it works on my scalp folliculitis.

    I randomly had athletes foot & currently have a hardened lump that isnt concerning(had an ultra sound etc) in my armpit. My armpits get itchy & my doctor seems to think it is fungal related. She perscriped a spray for athletes foot but didn't do much.

    I live in Cape Town, South Africa. I have no idea what to do or who to see. Thank you kindly for reading my message.

  6. PLEASE DO A VIDEO ON THE 5 DAY ON 2 DAY OFF KETO DIET PLAN. Some magazines are coming out boasting about the 5 day on keto and 2 "cheat day" diet. And how it actually activates more fat loss.

  7. My son has a delayed mile stone problem… he is sixteen now and quite slow in motor skills as well as grasping new concepts… can keto be helpful regarding his condition?? Please do answer i am really looking forward for your reply

  10. I know I'm not going to be popular saying this, but I've been a vegetarian my whole life and the thought of shellfish turns my stomach. I do like eggs though.
