I split these cardio exercises into two groups.
First group is “Low Impact: No Equipment”
Meaning you can do these exercises anywhere.
Next, the second group is “Low Impact: Equipment Needed”
These will include exercises that require equipment but are still low impact.
Ok, starting with “Low Impact: No Equipment” cardio exercises.
Cardio Exercise #1, Power Walking
Power walking is a great low impact exercise to help you lose weight.
Make sure you’re walking at a brisk pace while moving your arms so you’ll burn more calories.
Cardio Exercise #2, Climbing Stairs
Climbing stairs is a step up from power walking. It will definitely get the heart rate up and burn calories.
Make sure you’re light on your feet as you take steps up the stairs.
Cardio Exercise #3, Swimming
Swimming is zero impact but works your entire body which forces maximum calorie burn.
Cardio Exercise #4, Beginner HIIT Workouts

Find a beginner routine that’s low impact and you’ll be a fat burning machine.

Cardio Exercise #5, Cycling
Cycling is a great low impact outdoor exercise that helps you lose weight.
If you’re stuck indoors, jump on a recumbent bike.
It’s a low impact version of an exercise bike that still allows you to get in a great cardio workout.
Cardio Exercise #6, Rowing
Machine rowing is the KING of low impact and high calorie burning.
If you haven’t tried it yet, I beg you to find somewhere that has one and give it a try.
You’ll feel lighter as soon as you get off of it. It’s that effective!
Cardio Exercise #7, Elliptical
The elliptical machine is a great indoor full body cardio exercise machine.
To burn more calories, make sure your arms are moving while your legs are in motion.
